RIPE RIS · control plane

See how the internet reaches an address — from hundreds of vantage points.

A single router only knows its own best path. This looking-glass aggregates what hundreds of public peers across dozens of RIPE RIS collectors are announcing right now, so you get the shape of the routing, not one opinion about it.

IPv4 and IPv6. When a hostname resolves to several addresses, or an AS announces many prefixes, every option is listed — nothing is picked for you.

Ask once

Enter a prefix, an address, an AS number, or a hostname. Anything that expands to several targets gives you the full list to choose from.

Read the paths

The diagram shows the observed AS-level topology toward the prefix. The red line is the Most Observed AS-PATH — the complete path the largest number of peers reported, not a synthetic “best” route.

Every lookup is stored as a timestamped snapshot with its own URL, peer and collector counts, RPKI state, and the untouched upstream data behind it.
